About the Author:

Brian Maki is a poet, computer business owner, and writer living in Marquette, Michigan. He has been writing his whole life, ever since he received a journal when he was seven years old. He has previously published two other books, entitled "Flying a Kite" and "Where Strong Winds Blow" (both were published in 1993 and 1994, respectively).

All his poems are accompanied by photographs from his own personal photography collection, the photography of Sue Ballreich of Marquette, Michigan, the photography of Vivian Maier of New York, New York, and the watercolor drawings of Maria L. Hall of Marquette, Michigan.
